New York Bankruptcy Lawyer

Attorney Robert S. Lewis

Attorney Robert S. Lewis has dedicated his practice to assisting those in personal and/or financial distress, in order that such individuals may put their lives back together after such personal and financial crises. He began doing this early in his career as he learned that personal crises such as divorce and unemployment typically lead to further serious financial repercussions such as bankruptcy.

Mr. Lewis then learned how these crises are actually interwoven, and the relationships between them. He found this knowledge to be of supreme importance as many fellow practitioners knew little of these issues. He has been able, therefore, to allow his knowledge of these separate disciplines to benefit clients and to enable them to obtain a fresh start and a renewed financial well-being. This knowledge has been obtained and refined over the three decades which he has been practicing law, and it permits him to present to clients the numerous options which may be available to them.

The single most important thing to Robert S. Lewis is being able to inform clients how bankruptcy can help them, (in those situations where such a filing is warranted) or hurt them. Mr. Lewis’s clients (or potential clients) appear at his office with incredible amounts of information, most of it inaccurate at best, and completely wrong at worst, provided by both attorneys and non-attorneys. He feels competent in stating that after 35 years of experience in practicing law, that the information he provides is both useful and accurate, and that clients can feel comfortable in knowing that he or she has been presented with all of the viable and realistic options.

Mr. Lewis also cautions those in financial straits to speak with a competent and experienced attorney before taking any financial steps which may later prove ill-advised.
